Ram Slot Not Working Ddr3 Laptop

Assuming the other slots recognize ram ok, and assuming the ram that you are trying to insert in the bad ram slot works fine in other slots, then the problem is with the motherboard or the ram. I have lenovo z560 4gb ram two slot i means 2 gb + 2 gb.

Ram slot not working ddr3 laptop. Its obviously density that i have overlooked. I upgrade one 4gb ram + my old one 2 gb ram i installed but after how ever worked i don’t know.oneday all worked but after now not support now showing launch reprair or starting normaly both of i do after also not working stuck. The hp site had suggested that some versions of the elite 8100 would take 8gb ram, but i bought both 4 and 8 to hedge my bets (i have other machines that will take this ram so it didn't matter that i bought extra). To fix a faulty slot you would need to replace your motherboard. But, if i put a ram in the first slot, the computer boots perfectly. Or i am just assumping 🙂

The levers for the memory slot are white in this example. When replacing a module, make sure the indention on the bottom is lined up correctly with the slot and then press it in until you hear the levers snap. Today it was working fine when they left for a meeting;
